News Release

(Gwinnett County, Ga., April 14, 2026) – On April 7, 2026, the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Unit, with assistance from the Georgia State Patrol, located and arrested Taevon McCamey in Atlanta, Georgia.


McCamey had active warrants for Aggravated Assault Against Law Enforcement Officer When Engaged on Official Duty, Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Police Officer, Reckless Driving, No Insurance, Knowingly Driving Motor Vehicle on Suspended, Canceled, or Revoked Registration, Criminal Trespass Damage, three counts of Burglary, two counts of Criminal Damage to Property, and two counts of Possession of Tools for Commission of a Crime.


He remains in the Gwinnett County Jail without bond.
