LIGHTNING LAW™

Lightning Law™ brings digital legal mail and remote attorney visits to incarcerated individuals, turning paper files and video evidence into secure, digital evidence and document review. Digital tools like e-signatures and privileged attorney-client chat conserve everyone's time, and documents can be reviewed and signed in real time.

 

Attorneys must register at arcusjustice.com, complete “Initial Setup,” and be verified in person with a government-issued ID and proof of representation before gaining access.

 

Once approved, attorneys can upload legal documents, obtain digital signatures, and communicate with clients through secure messaging, document annotation, and video meetings. Clients receive login credentials from their attorney and can access and review their legal materials within the platform.

 

Traditional mail and in-person visits are still permitted. Clients retain access to their documents after release, while access after transfer depends on the receiving facility. Attorneys should keep copies of all legal correspondence.

Lightning Law™ streamlines the document execution process by enabling users to securely obtain legally recognized digital signatures without requiring in-person meetings.

Clients can review, annotate, comment on, and respond to legal documents directly within the platform, making collaboration more efficient and organized.

Attorneys can schedule and conduct secure virtual meetings with clients through the platform, providing a convenient alternative to in-person consultations.

During video meetings, attorneys and clients can view and discuss the same documents simultaneously, allowing for real-time collaboration, explanation of legal materials, and more effective communication.
