Assistant Chief Jermaine Jackson
Assistant Chief Jackson began his career with the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office in 2009. He has earned promotions at regular intervals and has worked in most areas of the agency to include the Jail Operations Division, Court Operations Division, Support Operations Division, and the Training Section. During his career, he worked as the Commander for the Sheriff’s Office Explorer Program and launched their first scholarship program. Appointed to Captain in 2018, he served as the Shift Commander in the Jail Operations Division.
Assistant Chief Jackson has earned several certifications from the Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training Council (P.O.S.T.), including: General Instructor Certification and Firearms Instructor Certification. He is a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps and served 20 years.
