GWINNETT COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE ARRESTS SEX OFFENDER


(Gwinnett County, Ga., February 6, 2026) – On February 5, 2026, the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office Sex Offender Unit arrested Dontiez McKinnon in Snellville, Georgia.


Following an investigation in January 2026, GCSO deputies secured a warrant for McKinnon for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender, Failure to Comply with Registration Requirements, and Providing False Information. McKinnon failed to comply with Georgia law by not updating the Sheriff’s Office Sex Offender Unit with required vital information.


He was taken into custody without incident.


The Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office remains committed to proactively monitoring compliance and taking appropriate enforcement action to help ensure the safety of our community.
