This new law requires each sheriff's office in the state to register secondary metal recycling businesses in the county to keep a record of each registration and to enter the registration into a statewide database that is searchable by all law enforcement agencies.

                    Registration Fees

• Non-Refundable Registration Fee of $200

• Payment must be made by cash or money order payable to: The Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office

• Business and personal checks are not accepted

                Identification Needed

• Citizenship/Qualified Alien Status​

• If you are a qualified alien, your Secure and Verifiable documentation must be attached to the application​​

• Each registration is valid for a 12-month period beginning with the effective date as established by the sheriff's office once all the registration requirements are met.
